Weird behavior of the NordModular Editor - any ideas ?

For all the users of the NM1 Editor V.3.03 by Clavia on Win XP.
I'm running the V3.03 editor software since a long time flawlessly on
a Desktop PC, which is connected to the NM via a Terratec Midi Hubble.
Since yesterday, everytime i start the editor it doesn't load up the NM,
instead it has "forgotten" all preferences, like the correct midi port and the
Fader horizontal/vertical options etc.....

i need to configure manually everytime i run the editor - that sucks....
I haven't installed any new drivers/software or have done any system
configurations....

can anyone help?

Try using the Nomad editor instead.

Nomad is a well thought editor, but i've experienced it as quite unstable.
Also i would like to know what causes this strange behaviour....

some ideas about registry entries ?

in my experience the nordmodular editor tends to sometimes not see that I have a nord connected to it, I have to unplug everything and plug it all back again and then restart the program and then it works. it's annoying.

that's not my problem. the connection was always stable, no issues.
from one day to the other it "forgets" about all configurations.
set up new midi drivers, de/installed the editor, cleared all registry
setiings, etc.....nothing worked. this is so lame...

did you get a windows update or something? maybe they need to update the editor to keep up with windows updates.

is it at all possible that the preference file is being sought out by your antivirus for some odd reason? maybe the antivirus mistakenly deletes it. just a shot in the dark.

hhm, rather not installed any system relevant things...
i also thought of Antivir and Firewall issues, that the editor
isn't allowed to write/read the registry, but after disabling all
it also doesn't function. I loaded a system image from 2 weeks ago
and the editor works fine now, as it should. I#ve updated all
relevant programs and will stick to this image. No clue what caused
this, but it works now computers computers, tss,tss.....

yep, this was my first idea to ask there.
Blue Hell also hasn't got an answer - thats a bad sign

anyway, i also wish Nomad is working better. I really like
the macros and colorable modules...but it's stability is awfull.

i never got it working on my machine. i would even gladly donate some money to the project to keep it going, but they dont have it on their site.

why does it not work on your system ?
i can get it to run, but the connection to the NM isn't stable.

It's a great Project and i really want to see it evolve, but on their
site and on the dedicated forum there isn't much going on.

i wish i knew why it doesnt work. ive tried different midi interfaces and all the different java / scripts / blah, but i just cant get a connection to the mm. anyone have any tricks or something im missing?
