Is this Site getting more & more boring?
Is this Site getting more & more boring?
i just looked back at the website after a couple of month and actually not much changed as far as i can see. well, of course, the forum changed and is a valueable information source and there are two new tutorials (even though it is as messy as the ableton graphics), but that's it. the lastest news in the archive is even from july!
of course they should focus on the development of the next update/ version/ product or whatever, but a while ago i really liked looking over the site, but now its boring.
what do you thinK?

boring site
I guess once you've looked at any site a certain number of times...there's no need go reinventing the wheel...the forum is the main thing here, I think, I don't spend much time on the rest of it. I WOULD like more tutorials tho!

I'm on this site pretty regularly, and find it helpful and well run. For a company that is creating and supporting primarily a single product, I think Ableton does a good job at keeping this site aLive (sorry
)
They've been pretty regular with monthly updates to their tips column, this forum itself has been great for info and meeting up with other Live users, and outside of this site, we're seeing new books and products coming out in support of Live. From my perspective, all is good in the world.
If I compare this site to Native Instruments, a company who has about 20 more products than Ableton, I don't see much difference in activity level, both in terms of product related materials/tutorials and the forums. If I look at the king of music forums, K-V-R, I think this forum is easily as active as any on that site.
Go Ableton!

I quite like it round here but then I come for the forum really.
More tutorials would be nice as the ones up there already have really helped me. Maybe some of the more advanced users on the board could help with that. I am always interested in seeing different perspectives on Live use.
I like the forum, and always have a look at lunchtime.
Like with anything you get good days and bad days.
Sometimes theres loads of interesting posts and lots of new stuff to try when you get home and open Live.
Other days the board fills up with "WE HATE SASHA" type posts....
