Notebook sound cards: what are you guys using?
I'm running Live on a pretty decent Sony Vaio and I bought a Creative SB Audigy-2 ZS card. It seems ok but I suspect there's better solutions. I'm especially interested in these Firewire units with the breakout boxes and half-rack outboard units. What are you guys using and what would you suggest for the best sound/latency/features, etc. for the money? I've ruled out the RME Hammerfall stuff due to cost although those Digiface and Multiface rigs look damn fine.
fireface 800
if you got the money go for RME FireFace 800 . Unbeatable soundquality and performance! There is just nothing better!
spacy
ps. i use a edirol Fa101. if i would have the money for the RME fireface 800 i would not have Fa101 (sucks, driver development ist absolutely lame!!!)
