Naming Conventions for Scenes/Tracks (second attempt)

Post by platypus » Wed Mar 18, 2009 2:27 pm

Since my first thread descended into complete chaos, I will try again. Do you have a naming convention for your "scenes"? I tend to use capital letters followed by a description but was wondering what other ways you guys label scenes and tracks:

A INTRO
A BUILDUP
A
B
B
C Bass Fill
D etc

For my tracks it is more challenging because Loop 1 Loop 2 Loop 3 is not very descriptive. It would be nice if we could put icons or graphics for track names. The new track colors and group tracks will be VERY helpful in Live 8.

How do you approach this?

since i usually use the scenes for bpm changes i set up a midi track right next to the returns with clips that i rename to label the scene.
