The Trigger Finger and Drum Racks

Post by LwsLddr » Wed Mar 18, 2009 10:14 pm

Can you control the scroll feature on drum racks from the trigger finger?

For example, if i use the mouse and move the box that indicates the register range the TG follows and stays with the denoted set of 16 pads/notes.
is there a way i can move the range from the tg? using a fader? Transpose? and have ableton follow the tg?

if you have auto enabled on the rack and hit a pad not on screen it will jump there maybe that might help till you find other answers.

oh. yea, that's really cool, especially when editing but not what i was referring to.

I was referring to the 16pad view. when you grab the little black frame w the mouse and scroll it up and down the 16pads to the immediate left of that follow. id like to scroll using the tg.

like usual im obsessing over work-flow details instead of practicing and/or writing music :/

thanks tho.

I knew what you wanted but dint know if it was for pad edits or not and this is the only thing i could think of to get you to diffrent pads without the mouse. If i come across another way i will be sure to let you know.

I used to have a trigger finger years ago and there was software that came with it called egnima and i was able to do a lot of programing from there that i couldnt from inside a program maybe give that a look.
