The following bugs were issues also for Live 7

- Plug-ins parameters that do not show in configure mode : Spectrasonics plugs.

- if I wish to scroll through different midi notes, and keep the same loop length, each
time I am reaching the max/right limit of the grid, Live adds one quarter note.
Since, you cannot 'violently' scroll through the midi grid.

Are you sure this is not a spectrasonics issue?

For example Stylus RMX only allows for parameters on the mixer page to be host automated, therefor those are the only that can be seen by ableton's plug-in parameter configuration. Try configuring levels or sends on the mixer page. (By the way RMX 1.8 will allow for more parameters to be automated via their own parameter configuration).

I've had problems with spectrasonics Stylus RMX and Omnispear and Live 8 on a PC the problems aren't there in Live 7.

With Stylus RMX it won't let me drag the MIDI file from Stylus to Live 8 but this problem did not happen with live 7 it works fine..

With Omnispear every time i load an instance of the App it keeps asking me to re enter the it registration info, yet the program is already registered and runs fine in live 7 and Cubase 5 and Pro Tools 8..

In b20 you can now drag MIDI files from Stylus RMX..

But Omnispear still ask re register the program when it already is and runs fine in other apps including Live 7..

Hi,

Omnisphere does not send parameter change messages to Live.
We need those messages for configure mode to work, though.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean? Are you moving the MIDI notes? Is the Loop brace or the clip markers moved, or is it only the display that shows extra space?

Sorry for being unclear.
Speaking differently I wish to have the choice to set the length of a midi clip. Since it is not, if we move a fixed duration loop by some quantized jumps inside a midi clip, reaching the 'end' of the clip adds some notes to the right - so that we can manually add somes of course. If soe wants to scroll through the clip back and forth, he has to pay attention to when the loop reaches the last written note.
Here is my issue, which in fact is not a problem, but a feature you could fix and that we would really benefit from I guess.

Speaking differently I wish to have the choice to set the length of a midi clip. Since it is not, if we move a fixed duration loop by some quantized jumps inside a midi clip, reaching the 'end' of the clip adds some notes to the right - so that we can manually add somes of course. You wish that dragging the Loop brace out be limited be the view? by the inactive end marker? Or am I mistaken? I that is the case, you have to think carefully of the other way around: how would you extend a clip? With MIDI, there is no notion of "material end" so far.

Yes. That would imply maybe the creation of a new mode (?), where we could 'lock' the duration of a midi clip, which would be particuarly usefull for that kind of glitchy/scrolling through midi performance, or as a generative music tool.
I do this, with the actual limitation, to quickly trigger, via applications a la lucifer, artillery, etc... different effect sequences. And it's a little problem to manage that 'end of written notes in clip' issue when u play live.
Yes, introducting this notion of material end for midi would be great.
