The Fan keeps spinning in os10.3.7

I use Powerbook G4 1,5Ghz 2GB.
My fan keeps spinng around 61.5? and stops when it hits 59.5?.
Is this a normal behaviour? cause this did not happen in os10.3.6 .

Does anybody know how to downgrade to OS10.3.6?
This noise is really annoying.
I'm only using safari at the moment, and it just striked the 61.5 .
Now it's spinning with that loud noise.
oh man,

PLZ tell me how your os10.3.7 is behaving,

BTW, this is the temperature app that I use.

yip me too......not that im too concernewd about the fan cooling the computer down, rather that if im in a battery only situation, it will be pointless using it at all.....

You have to reinstall all your shizzle - if you want to go back to 10.3.6

I been tempted to upgrade to 10.3.7 ..but seems that it is not so good idea...and I don't want to "experiment" as I take a lot to reach a somewhat "stable" system now...

any feedback on the mac side regarding this update?

10.3.7 has proven itself more than stable for me, and many others. WAY more stable than 10.3.6 (ugh) was. If you're worried about the Powerbook fan issue, check Apple's support forums, or places like XLR8yourmac.com to see if there's a workaround, then upgrade.

Yeah, I have been doing the research.
But now I'm back to 10.3.6 and way too happy about it.
The fan issue is gone.
My trackpads works better.

In japanese forums, the 10.3.7 in really the infamous update.
Never heard such a lousy update before.
Yes, some say nothing has changed.
But if you work deep down, 10.3.7 really changed many stuff.
Bad rumors going on here.

The fan will spin around 61.5C with the lateset G4PB.
When playing with Live4,
it only takes 15-30min to reach that point in 10.3.7.
In 10.3.6, it remains in around 58C for whole day,
which means that the fan won't spin at all.

In 10.3.7, it maybe more powerful in many issues,
but the whole thing is spitting out too much heat.

Although, if I used both Logic7 and Live4,
yes, the fan will spin.

I'm through with updating.
I'm going to be sticking around with this 10.3.6
until I really NEED the new update.

Searched the Apple's discussion board and found out people were having the same problem.

Went to the Apple store's genius bar,
and they told me that the fan + logic board + thermal module
needed to be repaired.

guys..I need to downgrade to 10.3.6.. I try the mac update but 10.3.7 is doing problems in my system,,

sniffio .. how did u downgrade? I know I have to re install all the stuff,, but where can in dl this version? on my pbook cd i have only 10.3.5

either archive and install

or you can use the os disc 1 and erase & install from 10.3.3(?)
and download the upgrade for the 10.3.5 combo version.
