Add-ons

Post by cathochic » Tue Nov 16, 2004 3:32 am

Some of the major feature requests (video, surround, etc) could be provided as an add-on instead as part of the main application. This way, they could be developed separately, and features which I need I would buy, and others I don't want I do not have to. What do you think?

yeah could maybe even be a version without VSTi plugin support that many requested before it was implemented.

Add-On's would be a little too much.

But although I'd love to see Quicktime support, I'd hate it if it put an unreasonable load on my CPU if I wasn't using it.

Now that I think of it, Is the Midi engine engaged when there are no Midi tracks in the song? If not, this is the same thing that has to happen with Quicktime. Not using a Quicktime Track? Ok, Quicktime is not loaded...
