crash on exiting LIVE which also corrups your work.

hiya,
I am using LIVE 4.04 on a pc with win 2000.
I keep getting this probelm... and it's a real arse !!

-working on a tune... saving as I go along.
-come to exit live.. so I save... then try and close live.
-live then asks .. do you wanna save your project first (even though you have)
-no matter what you do at this point... live will say.. a serious problem has occured...we suggest you save your work under a different name..

- it will then take a while of ending tasks... before , after about 3 minutes..live closes and my computer is ok.

- touble is... any file that crashes in this fasion will ALWAys crash in this fasion here-on-in... like the crash has corrupted my save.

- the only unusual symptom...when working with a file that hs previous;y crashed.. is the UNDO isnt there !! it perminantly says.."undo tremalo lead" .. which sounds like a edit on Lounge Lizrard... a vsti i have used.

Has anyone got any ideas ?
-other software doesnt crash on my machine.
-I have reinstalled Live... i have the latest version.

Hi Arch_Rivals,

you could try the latest beta, Live 4.0.5b3.

If it is crashing there you could send then the log file of the beta. The beta contains some more code to which dumps information to the log file.

Do you get this crash always or just with a special song or more or less randomly?

thanks Alex,

the frequency of the crash initially started intermitently...however it seemed to become more and more frequent... until it happened with every file.
I then upgraded from 4.01 to 4.04 (i think.. to the latest one anyhow)
and the problem was less frequent... however it has started again..

I will try the Beta over the weekend.. and see if I can recreate the crash / and send a log. .. or hopefully it just fixes the problem...
