an odd topic but hey, conspiracies are better than bashing artists in my opinion
http://tinyurl.com/3ohfm <------EVP?

i dont know, but many times ive heard sounds that resemble voices within other sounds...and always thought that has to do with the game of psychoacoustics due to our natural ability/preference to filter/pick out human voices out of the environment as in a mother's voice or someones shouting warning in a loud bar for survival purposes.
are these movie producers trying to awaken the minds of the general public or spread "paranoia" against those who produce noise/glitch ? or am i paranoid??? what do you think ?

in anycase weird stuff

Great premise for a film, but I'm not an EVP 'believer' - all it proves is that the human brain constantly looks for patterns wherever it can, and is sometimes _too_ good at finding them. Plus of course radio static, tape noise etc is more chaotic than random, so patterns will occasionally emerge.
This kind of thing happens to me all the time - I once happened to make ReBirth sound like it was saying 'hello', from a randomised pattern and playing with the filters. I saved the file and could repeat the phenomenon. The correct modulation in the frequency of 'noise' could potentially sound like speech, and could occur by chance.
I also have several trance tracks from the past 5 years or so where to my ears the hi-hat part sounds like it's talking. I always thought of this as a product of the rhythm programming and the hi-hat sounds used, it never crossed my mind that it might be dead people trying to speak to me...

my girlfriend has made very clear that she won't watch that movie as she's afraid it will freak her out. she's a hardcore believer in EVP.
and you are paranoid!

i was listening to the latest unkle album the other day, after seeing thx1138. there is one song on there where they sampled the fuck out of the movie which i thought was sounded cool.
your right though, it is reality, theres just a part of me that dont want to admit that.

it's amazing that the same person who made that film also came up with jar-jar binks.
