Uhhh, no thanks - OSX has always worked for me, while Vista had so many issues that it won't live as long as XP before Windohs 7 comes out. Maybe it works now, but it's already on the way out.

MobileMe is one of those products that never interested me in the slightest. It's selling point of "Automatically sync & update your desktop, laptop, and mobile phone!" is not something I want or need at all.

Is Apple really more trustworthy with your information than Google is?

I would not purchase anything any more. I have taken to using my cooker for e-mail and the fridge for making music. Cool beats of of that thing.

People don't support their products any more. I had a go at making a tune out of a wet Tesco bag. When I called them up to complain you should have seen the response I got. The customer is dead. (well when your talking about a funeral home he is)

What would Mobileme have to say about that!!! x

i don't use any of the mobileme services, but have had my .mac account for years.
i haven't had any issues since the transition, and i get my mail on my iphone.

i get a lot of use out of my idisk. if it wasn't for the idisk i wouldn't use the service.

I'd like to know why thousands and thousands of old emails have been caching and synchronizing with the .mac server ceaselessly for the past 48 hours or so.

So, I had a good Mac experience today...just enough to make me quiet down about mobileme, but I still wouldn't recommend it.

Anyway, I bought a MacBook Pro in May of last year, and it had nothing but issues...the monitor got pretty scratched up from the chassis, so I took it in and had it replaced, and the new monitor did it again, so I had that one replaced, too. They actually performed a $1,300 repair on it to try to stop the monitor from getting scratched, replacing a ton of stuff, and it just didn't work. The newest monitor also got scratched, and yesterday, dead pixels were showing up, which was the last straw. I made a genius bar appointment for this morning, and 45 minutes later, walked out of the Apple store with a brand new MacBook Pro, which made my day. Yeah, I have to do a fresh install of all my software, but I don't mind, as long as I don't have the problem child to deal with any longer.

As far as Mobileme goes, I still wouldn't trust it, but as I said earlier in this thread, the mistake made by Apple, as far as I'm concerned, wasn't their computers, it's trying to take on the cell phone industry and catch up to everyone else in less than a year, after everyone else has been doing it for waaaaaay longer. With gearing Mobileme toward that market, they focused so much on development for the iphone that regular dot mac users got pushed aside, which is a bunch of crap, but I still love their computers, and I guess all that really matters is that they work for me.

Now I just have to order a FW800 to FW600 cable, and I'll be all set.

i wonder if they will figure out why my keyboard goes dead on my MBP.

i took it in this weekend and they reseated the the thing and ordered a new harness.
the keyboard hasn't gone dead yet, but the backlit no longer works..
i'll be taking it in again to get this fixed, and then i guess i'll see if the backlit is related to why the thing stops working.

the keyboard/trackpad stops working i have to close the lid and open it and all is well for a while. happens once a day.
