The same convsersation happens every release but if you stretch it out over time it really isn't that much.

I thought it might be cool if Ableton offered some kind of Bank of Ableton subscription service where you could give them a set amount of money every month and then apply that to whatever upgrades or instruments you want at a later date. This would also keep a constant stream of revenue for them to keep developing.

That idea is either really inovative or hella stupid. You decide.

The answer is yes. Upgrade price keeps going up, new price keeps going down. Probably a good sales revenue strategy but fucking lame.

That does seem a bit steep. But fwiw, this release really packs a punch with a slew of new features. How much of that loot goes to the Crown? I'm gettin' mine fer like $199.
