Yes only one crossfader, but no Play, Stop and Rec Button in the way of it.

no reason why you couldn't write a max for live patch that uses clip lights for vu meters.

But that would be a bit of a waste of functionality if you ask me.

Ableton know what they're at keeping it to 8 faders. It will force users into a more
sensible way of working. Nobody needs more than 8 channels to play with really - ever heard of
consolidating your stems?

Motorised faders would make it more expensive or they could use cheap ones like the behringer's
which aren't great at all in a live situation.

Should have 1 (one for the master, 16 for tracks)
PadKontrol/nonolive has 9; 8 for tracks, one for master - very handy.....
