New Forum: Links don t open in a new Tab anymore

They have changed something. The links don't embed any more - they open in the same tab now, Try relogging in.

I tried both Safari and Firefox.. still not opening in a new window..
why would I have to relogin again? I mean I tried but that didn't help..
afaik this is just code that makes links open in new windows..

are we talking about the same thing here?

currently, when I click a link that is posted on this forum, say a youtube,
the new page opens in the same window, so not a new window (or tab)..

that behaviour has not changed since the new forum..
I deleted cookies.. no go..
I don't even think cookies have anything to do with it because pages opening in new windows is just executable html script..

please prove me wrong..

They don't open in a new window/tab and this has nothing to do with cookies. The board authors just removed the target="_blank" in the <a> tag to stick to the strict standard.

Pointless in my opinion. Fix it.

there's this simple rule that says if your board acts as a central information hub,
thus you want to keep people on your page,
you provide links to open in new windows to make the staying here as comfortable as possible..

I try to remember to right click and open the links in a new tab, but I usually forget and just close out the tab when I am done reading whatever it is...

Mildly annoying for sure.
