problem with Live 6 seeing my Oxygen 8 in MIDI preferances

I had a Oxygen 8 and UC-33e controller and on my Mac G4 desktop, they were linked with USB from G4 to UC-33 to Oxy 8 via midi cable but now I have migrated to a Macbook pro and want to run them indepently or combined on their own USB cable but now Live won't see the Oxy without the midi connection to UC-33. How did I reset the midi ports so I can resolve this frustrating problem?. any advice apreciated.

I guess you problem lies there, that OSX don't recognize it. Go to Midi preference of OSX, and use the search or add function.
