I didn't want to say it at first, but I noticed that right after I installed 8.

Joking aside -is it worth getting?
It seems ok but still it's a little expensive for not so big changes isn't it?

Are you serious?

Where's the proof?

Is it just placebo?

i find you can also achieve a warmer sound by turning your thermostat up a lil. this massages the sound waves b4 it reaches your ears.

listen to the metronome in L8 compared to the one in L7 and you will soon see.
L8's metronome is 'snappier' and 'beepier', and when you turn the volume up and down the dynamics are incredible!

operator changed heavily. it indeeds sounds much warmer and nicer than before. and of course some filter have improved i think, some effects as well. that may lead to the listeners opinion.
nothin notable here.

Sampler's new Release is incredible. It really takes advantage of the new warmth and the 64-bit fixed point Live engine, which coupled with Vista 64-bit makes it simply mind blowing.

I wish they ported Sampler's Release to Simpler.

I must say that kind of was my impression too. weird that they didnt say anything about it. as I said, I believe they must have changed something there, or why would the audio engine have reacted differently when I was recording (weird clippings) in beta phase? Of course there may be reasons I´m not aware of, but its a hint, and I was under the same impression.

You lucky bastard, that's 128bits of release. You'll really be able to hear the end bits on pads and bell chimes now.
