What should i buy ?

Post by Vix Neiv » Mon Jan 10, 2005 6:26 pm

Hi
I use Live on stage and for dj-set, so i need a new sound device (i sold my m-Box: crap).
I need something with these features:
firewire
4 inputs (minimum)
4 outputs (minimum)
Midi in/out
SPDIF (optical) in/out
small, no external power, and no bug with Live 4 (OS X)
I use a PowerBook G4 550MHz, under 0S 10.3.7

So, dear Livers, some advices ? :D

or you can take a look at the m audio interfaces on their website to find which one suits you best. I've got the firewire audiophile, it does the job for me, but they have bigger modelsthat you might be looking for.

Well, it seems to be a wonderfull new Motu ! But for this price, i hope my coreaudio will appreciate it !
Did u try it ?

I had so many problems with MBox and Digi001 that i would like to buy a full compliant audio interface... That's why i want to know your own audio interfaces experiences.

I have the MOTU 828 (the original, not the MKII) and it's been superb. I swap it back and forth between my studio and my laptop pretty much daily, and I take it everywhere. Haven't had a lick of a problem in the years that I've had it.
