hello all, I'm close to my 'ultimate' looper! Of course every application is different... but!
now live8's looper means that I can sync live to me, rather than me sync to live. Much cooler.
I've done a bit of work with pure data and the bcr2000 so I can reliably control live with my laptop shut.
* wiimote controls fx of mic in (fx in/out and paramaters on pitch/roll)
* puredata detects double clicks (delete loops) and changes the interface of the looper (rec/closeloop/play/stop/play/stop...)
* bcr2000 controls 5 channels of loops (eq, volume, panning, muting)
* bcr2000 controls master tempo, global fx
* bcr2000 controls loop start/close/stop/delete
* bcr2000 indicators used to show which loops are stopped,vacant,recording or playing
my favourite thing to do is turn out all the lights, shut the laptop lid and get immersed!
my config is all here: http://www.mattvenn.net/2009/04/05/live-looping-setup/
cheers! And let's hear it for live8 looper!

It seems interesting...
The Pd double click detecting gave me an idea... Thanks!

uuu, I would like to see such a performance with closed laptop lid. What are you looping (which instruments, I mean)?
