I'm sorry, everyone. I was wrong. I've been reading through this forum more and it's great. I don't know why I thought it was so bad before.

Re: Moderators, please -- censor us!
I just read the first page and skipped to the last to see Jeff Brown admit he was wrong.
This Thread should have been censored. What a waste of e-paper.

It takes a big man to admit he was wrong, and an even bigger man to admit he was wrong on the internet.Jeff Brown wrote:I'm sorry, everyone. I was wrong. I've been reading through this forum more and it's great. I don't know why I thought it was so bad before.

Aww, shucks. Thanks, Tim.

I'm sorry if I wasted anyone's attention, the resource that I was concerned about in the first place. I continue to think it's an interesting question: how a forum should be administered. I still believe fluff discourages some knowledgeable people from frequenting the forum. But on the other hand, it may be that the only way to really get a good dialog going is to allow the forum to develop the sense of community that, I'll readily concede, requires wider variation in conversational topics.

You don't have to worry or apologize about wasting anyones resources or time. The main point you're missing is that the reader is responsible for what they chose to read. The poster needn't be responsible for much other than being funny and provocative, imo.Jeff Brown wrote:Aww, shucks. Thanks, Tim.

You won't believe the amount of material I haven't read here.
Re: Moderators, please -- censor us!
i read all 6 pages, and the part where Jeff Brown admits he's wrong is amazing.
best thread ever.
also a lot of blabbering.... So maybe i didn't read all of the philosophical crap. Either this tops a good book any day.

I love this place and don't want it to change one bit.
