First Question on the site

Post by Paul D » Mon Apr 06, 2009 7:01 am

Hi guys, complete newbie to all this ableton nonsense :)

Been djng for yrs, progressed through 1210's to cdj's thought i would try ableton, hopefully a stepping stone to more creatve mixes and production.

anyhoo...

Quick wee question for you all, i hav ejust warped couple of tracks in ableton 7, done the "warp from here" option, so they are tighter and definitely working ok..

I followed some tutorials on youtube, however i have done these in the Session view.

When i go to arrangement view i notice the same tracks are not warped...Ableton has the wee icon changed in the file name view so it has been warped, but it is not showing my yellow markers thus not my warp markers..

This is despite me saving the actual file within the wave form display at the bottom !
anybody know what i am doing wrong, i am running this all on a mac..

Thanks for your help in advance, sorry for the BASIC question..

Hi Paul,

You are doing nothing wrong. The audio is warped and if you double click on the colour bar above the waveform in the arrangement view, the waveform will appear at the bottom of the page exactly as it would in the session view (complete with your beloved yellow markers :) )

Any other questions just shout.

Keith
