Hi guys,
I have this issue :
I want to use a mic in input 3 of the ultralite, use an AU plug-in (audiodamage's Kombinat) for a distortion on the vocals effect, route this to output 4 back to the PA.
Now everytime I activate the plugin I get this extreem feedback, and it's not just the kombinat, it happens with every plug-in....
What am I doing wrong?
please help
Kind regards,
G-Lay

Re: MOTU Ultralite & Live 7
what type of mic is it?
Re: MOTU Ultralite & Live 7
Hi, the ultralite's microphone inputs are labeled inputs 1 & 2 in Live - i.e. the front panel and rear panel mic/guitar inputs. Have you tried using those instead of input 3? For the feedback, is the mic picking up your PA? Have you just tried outputting to headphones instead of PA to see if that is the cause...
Re: MOTU Ultralite & Live 7
Also: what are your ultralite mixer settings - is it possible that the inputs are being directly monitored so that the mic is going straight through to the output in parallel with Live?
Re: MOTU Ultralite & Live 7
I would also suspect a simple audio loop (aka larsen) between the pa and your activated input.
