I live in a 600 year old house with 2 cats and lots of spiders.

How do the cats get on with the spiders?

We used to live in a pretty old house - not nearly 600 years, but still pretty old. There were always lots of huge ugly spiders. Spiders really freak me out - but there is something about them that prevents me from ever killing them if I can at all help it. I guess I'm afraid to offend the spider god or something...

Mostly they ignore them, but I have seen the youngest one back down after cornering a big wolf spider.
I quite like spiders, the ones we get in the uk aren't going to hurt you, and they keep down the other creepy crawlies.

31, getting my masters in architecture, trying to get by with doing the least amount of work possible because my real hope is to get gigs as a composer for video games, movies, TV, pinball machines, or anything anyone will pay me for. I could care less about air-flow rates or the structural qualities of CMU block. Meanwhile I spend too much time on this forum. Still fighting the idea that music will have to be only a hobby, though I feel an overshadowing doom called adulthood approaching (yesterday was my birthday).
Played guitar since I was a teenager but didn't get into Live until 2004-ish. Right about when I started architecture school.
+1 to Czech/slovakian girls. Spent some time in Prague, where I eventually met my (German) wife of 2 years.

I'm the navigator of a minimal-techno-house club in the centre of Amsterdam: Studio 80. (capacity 600). We're open 5 nights a week (wednesday till sunday) with international dj's and live-acts on a weekly basis. (tonight Nick Curly from 8 Bit/Cecille), saturday a Moon Harbour Night with Martinez, Luna City Express, Boris Werner & others).
Next to that I also organise an open air festival (Welcome to the future) near Amsterdam on saturday august 1. Last year the 2nd edition of the festival attracted 7000 visitors (5 stages, with artists like Luciano, Guido Schneider, Marc Houle, Karotte, Mountain People, Heartthrob and all the happening Dutch dj's and live-acts.)
For the rest: I perform on stage with a live-act called Amsterdam 661, with 5 dj-producer friends. We improvise live with 5 synced laptops. Everybody uses Ableton live. A lot of fun.

our thursday nights (WKND starts here...) are actually really good. We draw a crowd from around 300-350, which means that our main room (we have 2 rooms on friday and saturday) is packed. And yersterday we were sold out: 560 people in 2 rooms.
Thursdays we play only house - not the commercial type, but the underground (classic tinged) nu house. and also deep house. in 3 weeks (Queensday in Holland) we have Jimpster (UK) from the Freerange-label - a great dj and producer.

Quoted for truth. After living in Sydney I find the Belgian women to be fairly...well, bland. I have to work in the Czech Republic quite often though which I gotta say is one of the true pleasures of the world.
