Re: Don't forget your coupons
Well it's just as well I decided to buy Live 8 today because Live 7 is giving me the COPY VIOLATION message YET AGAIN.
Re: Don't forget your coupons
Damn, I'm glad someone reminded me of this! A little more incentive to buy sooner than later...
BTW, anyone know if the upgrade prices are at a discount and how long they'll last? Uncle Sam just took a massive bite out of my ass and I may have to wait a month or two...

Re: Don't forget your coupons
no coupon for educational users, even though we now have to pay full price on the upgrades since Ableton scrapped educational discounts on upgrades.
30 dollars off would help soften the blow of now having to pay double what the previous edu upgrades cost.
Which plain sucks and is why I'm still using Live 7 and Ableton are missing out on my (and others) upgrading to Live 8 for the sake of small change to them, but real money that means something to many of us in this global recession.

the Edu price thing disturbs me.
why does Ableton hate our children??
can I use my coupon later? I have Live 8 in the checkout queue ready to go.

Re: Don't forget your coupons
i also have another $20 coupon from earlier in the year. but can't use them both on one purchase. but they're both only good for software. upgrading from suite 7 to suite 8 is the only software they sell! so, guess the $20 coupon will just go unused.

Re: Don't forget your coupons
I can't sell Cubase because it has some features that live doesn't have which are important for my workflow on some projects, and mostly on projects working for others.
In fact, right now, as much as I love Ableton Live, and loved the 8 beta, I may well upgrade Cubase instead because it will be cheaper and give me even more features for the mixdown process such as variaudio pitch correction and convolution reverb, as well as having the dual monitor support, better mixer windows and lower CPU load.
Personally I would feel a bit gutted to do that, but Live 7 is still a fine tool.
