Convert all incoming notes to C2
Convert all incoming notes to C2
Is there a way to convert all incoming notes to a single note, such as C2. The Scale effect can convert all notes to C, but the octave varies depending on the incoming note.
I could use Racks and a Pitch Plug to do this but I am sure there must be an easier way.

You can use a drum rack and set all the send notes to C2, or whatever.
Re: Convert all incoming notes to C2
this Fixed at C3 Rack is from an old, free CovOps patch somewhere... SImpulse I think. Saves you the work. Can't think of an easier way.
Thinking about your pK needs. If anything comes of it I'll get in touch.

I knew I had a patch like that, I just could not locate it. Thanks for this, I have now found it in my Midi Effects Racks "The Muses" Folder

use a scale plug in.
make a horizontal bar at C, then a midi pitch plug in to move it to C2.

tone deft wins.
Re: Convert all incoming notes to C2
This was my initial thoughts, however one note is B4 and another B2 different octives of C are produced. The rack posted above works a treat.Tone Deft wrote:use a scale plug in.

EDIT: Nope - doesn't work like that

arachnaut got it. lesson learned, thanks!
scale plug in won't constrict the output to 1 octave. drum racks are good for forcing controls to one single note/drum sound.

Sorry - I edited my post with the picture.
It looks like it should work, but it doesn't.

fixed pitch: do it with two pitch plugs.
first dialed aaalll the way up. or down. depends on your general state of mind. makes that ANY note gets to be note 128. or note 1.
Second one transposes down or up to the note you want - C2 in your case

Very clever. I like this approach.pepezabala wrote:fixed pitch: do it with two pitch plugs.
