I've had mac since 84. And NOW I USE PC! I use Live with nuendo 2, reason, tons of vst and no problems. You guys need to get out more :) and try the alternatives. 8) before you knock 'em.... or just let the wise ones run the show.

Right........ whatever.

I'm not knocking anything my man. Just stating my personal experience re: my mac and viruses. I referenced some of the earlier posts regarding windows xp users having a tough time with 2.1.1 Not my personal experience, just a reference.

Mac or Windows, a matter of preference.

Oh yeah, I had the chance to check out some of your music. I like it.

Thank you! Right on  I'll be adding a lot more after the Burning Man gigs next week..... Music is so MUCH FUN!!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I think there are more viruses for PC because those that write them get a big kick out of maximum impact (95% PCs out there right?) plus they're hitting the big execs and corps the hardest....

norton is a resource hog. kaspersky internet security suite is MUCH better as far as performance and protection are concerned... linux is great but not for serious a/v production. apple is apple, love it or hate it.

a windows machine that is used for serious work should only be connected to the internet for updating live and whatever other apps are used, not any other time.

I would love to run Live 8 on my PC and keep it off line, but atm, if I do, Live 8 crashes and asked to be registered ( again ).

Some others seem to be having this problem as well.

Have let Abes know, but have not heard anything back as yet. :(

Yeah buy 2 PCs, one to surf and one to do audio. Or, just get one Mac. Macs suddenly seem cheaper. 8)

or just run one PC computer and spend 5 minutes of your life installing antivirus software.

This whole 'keep your pc offline' stuff is just uninformed, and incorrect.
