options 1 and 2

and because Ableton made the poor business decision to scrap edu discounts on upgrades, otherwise, I would have already done upgraded.

I would like a discount for a thousand reasons - but as a customer it's not really up to me to decide on pricing policies. If it's too expensive I won't buy - like with any product.

Haven't upgraded yet, but most certainly will. It's a fair price to pay (from edu to full) for the fun and creativity it brings into my life.

There should be a choice to pick three options. Otherwise, imo, the data is engineered towards a particular range of outcomes.

I beta tested in the past, versions 5, 6 and 7. Did not feel any irrational obligation on behalf of Ableton to do anything special as a result, though I did appreciate the advanced peek.

I've upgraded by box, version 4-7 suite, and finally to 8 suite, box. I appreciated the price reduction and the discount.

I am not sure what the big deal is.

It wouldn't be so bad if paying a full price on an upgrade also upgraded the status of the product from educational to full version, but it does not ....

In other words, after paying the full retail upgrade, I am still restricted to selling only to customers who qualify for educational status and any other educational version only stipulations.

I don't believe that this is the case. I was told repeatedly that it is not, in different manners by the abes. I recommend pm'ing them. Let me know if they say something different, please.
