frequency modulate the grainular resynthesis parameters with the "operators" instead of the randimization found in most "granualizers".
Interesting idea Vercengetorex (You sound like a villian from the X-Men  )
I recon that would sound completely unlike the usual operator/operand algorithm. But its just to off the wall a guess to be right IMHO. Great idea thou if it's not in live will somebody should design it and call it the Vercengetorexator!

If it is in 4.0.5b3 as V describes I'll send you a bottle of whisky if you give me the address of your volcano hideaway.

Some kind of new visual patchcord routing sceme? Operator referring to old school telephone operators who had to patch calls manually with cords?

yes ikeaboy, and the thought of vst midi outs in Live is... wait for it... neat.

Got you then, get you now.

i've found this:

Steinberg announced a new integration interface to further enhance programming for its DAW products to the third party community. The VST Module Architecture allows the programming of MIDI effect plug-ins for its Nuendo and Cubase SX/SL/SE sequencers. The VST Module Architecture 1.0 SDK is available for download now.

stinberg thins is offtopic for this thread, but i am assuming that because they were bought out by Yamaha, they willstart to implement all the open plugin format stuff that Yamaha has been trying to get off the ground.

i just wanted to point out that while the word "operator" is exclusive to the new beta, the "MidiArpeggiator" line can be found in the exe for 4.0.1 so don't be believing that he is on to as much as you are all giving credit for. in fact try it yourself and search for all the keywords he posted (other than operator which isn't in there)

it has been in there, it might have something to do with a subroutine name they picked for one of the exisiting devices like scale or chord, or maybe even have to do with the repeat mode of clips. could be just a name the choose to use internally for something similar to an arp.

i was thinking that too...

or they could have been laying the groundwork for all this stuff for much longer than we think.. remember the post from "the one truth" goes back a long time now...

also, if i were a professional german software company i wouldnt call an internal subroutine midiarpeggiator since it would lead to so much confusion in the code down the line and we all know how awesome german engineers are at logicality...

true they are probably much more organized coders than I am. I am sloppy and lazy.

I hope it is a new synth like the Malstrom. That would be excellent. I think your right on. Well I at least hope you are. I would like to try the beta version but have a show next week on the 22nd of Jan. If I am a registered user when the time runs out on the 15 how will this effect my registered copy of 4.04.

Any help would be cool thanks

wont be a problem, when the beta expires, start using 4.04.. however im finding massive bugs between my 4.03 sets and the new 4.05beta3 so check your set in the version you wish to use to make sure there's not abnormalities...
