Strange Observation

Post by Rerun » Mon Apr 13, 2009 4:01 pm

I recently bought Live 8 and I have a live gig coming up and was going put the EXT button on (external midi sync) in order to block the spacebar from being hit accidentally. In practicing for this, I noticed that the sound changes when I press the EXT button, specifically I notice a drop in the bass frequencies.
Anyone else notice this or am I crazy? I loaded a spectrum up on the master but couldn't see anything, either it is happening after the master or I am crazy, but I certainly hear the difference.
This is my first live gig as I have been using live just as a studio tool til now. What else do people use to block the spacebar?

Thanks

Those were not very helpful replies. I am not emailing from a live gig, my gig is this Saturday, but was simply preparing for it. Anyone else notice a change in sound when pressing the EXT button?

it's a ridiculous notion, something else is going on.

maybe you're changing the bpm to a faster tempo and when you hit EXT warp goes into effect and you have re-pitch mode on one or more of your clips, causing them to rise in pitch.
