i liked ladytron at the start. but they're not that special. the live show i saw was really weak.

in my opinion zoot woman is very similar but more thoughtful, deep and less obvious.

I was actually referring to their lyrics+musical talent+intellegence = sexy!

But, I also like the way they look too.

OK Ladytron fans - I'm guessing that there is a ton of stuff out on the web for Ladytron, but rather than wade through it all, I'm asking for you to recommend 5 songs for me to check out.

I already like:
Playgirl -super song.
Seventeen -OK song.

The rest of what I have heard: primarily the Light & Magic CD, left me unmoved.

"Destroy Everything You Touch" by Ladytron has got to be one of my all-time favourite tracks. Unbelievably cool.

Hey, you're generally a pretty nice guy, but here's a little clue: Music is entirely SUBJECTIVE.

17 is the best song they do IMO, so we, surprise surprise, have different entirely subjective tastes!

I find Freezpop too melancholy, you find Ladytron too dry or whatever.... life goes on.

I honestly didn't think it necessary to add the caveat "In your opinion" -I thought that was a given....

That is why I phrased it "What songs do you like best" The key word being 'you'. I am asking for your subjective opinion.

One word: GOLDFRAPP!

Alison Goldfrapp is the queen of electro pop! With Will Gregory she produces the most amazing music. She is a stunning singer ... a class above all these pretenders! I know because I have seen her live and she is even better live than in her recordings (I must also mention the band too: excellent!!!)

Am I a fan? Oh YESSSS!

+1 on Goldfrapp! Been a fan a very long time now. Also the early Moloko stuff, while we're talking about that sort of female singer/electronics combo band.

I saw Goldfrapp at a festival last summer. I'd never heard of them before and after seeing them live I'd say they are masters of the Mitsubishi Car Commercial genre.
