yea,i'm on a pc. some google searches showed it can be possible. but, none showed of any instances of using ABLETON LIVE.
just want to see if LIVE would recognize two audio interfaces in the drop down screen in options menu.

Which one shows up in LIVE's options? is it the one i turned 'ON' first? or it just chooses one for me?

My old usb interface only had 1 pair of stereo outputs so I tried that once on my old desktop using the asio4all driver and selecting the outputs of the interface & the onboard soundchip. The problem was that that they had different latencies (which couldn't be adjusted seperatly) so that made the whole attempt pretty useless.

What does "at once" means for you?

You can run a DAW with two interfaces hooked to your PC but the DAW will be able to use only one - at least on XP. So,
just want to see if LIVE would recognize two audio interfaces in the drop down screen in options menu.
FME, the answer is no.

Not quite. As I posted in the "hardware setup" window of the asio4all driver (don't remember which version - must have been around 9 months ago) you can activate & deactivate in/outputs from different interfaces/cards/chips. (This was on XP Prof SP2)

It worked for behringer UCA200 as output 1/2 & the onboard soundchip as 3/4. Though as soon as I activated an in/output from my Soundblaster Live PCI, the other 2 devices wouldn't play. And as mentioned above, the diffenrent latencies of the devices render the whole thing useless. (although I expect if you had the same interface twice it might work)

i have two M-AUDIO FAST TRACK PRO interfaces. reason why i want to use both is because i get tired of plugging and unplugging my sound modules, bass, guitars, dtxplorer all the time from the interface.

i tried to run LIVE with both interfaces 'ON',but, i only hear one or the others INPUTS.

funny thing though, when i choose an AUDIO TRACK and choose to record as a STEREO TRACK, it picks up sounds from both interfaces...but one interface is panned LEFT and the other panned RIGHT. very odd. can't figure it out.

no shit, 2 M-Audio interfaces? and you're some kind of pro with residuals?

you still haven't figured it out?? Dexes pretty much gave you the answer and you still can't get it to work?

I'm losing faith in boy bands.

ok, both fast track pro's work together in LIVE.
i plug in the bass on input 1 on the first interface, and the guitar on input 1 on the second interface...they both go through to LIVE at the same time...cool !!!

and, both headphones work at the same time when playing back using LIVE.
