Re: Warping video tutorial for Ableton 8
Im with Tarekith on this one.. very good vid and it did clear out a lot of issues for me, but it escapes me why change something so fundamental, and hide the old functionality that we are familiar with, behind a SHIFT button? Should it not be the other way around? Anyway I'm very happy and as soon as Abe's get fix that ridiculously slow update rate for the user interface, Live 8 will be usable again. Great stuffTarekith wrote:Nice video, I'm sure that will clear things up for people. Though I do find it funny that so much of using the new warping method relies relies on holding shift, which merely makes it act like it was in version 7 in the first place.

Re: Warping video tutorial for Ableton 8
As a new user to ablton I am not sure whether I have a bug or I am just useless at warping!!! Beats mode is major major cliping when I place any makers and it keeps crashing on me can't seem to be able to warp a simple dance track even with following all the tips, it just stays way way out of time!!! Please help!medwaystudios wrote:Hi,
After struggling a bit initially with the new warping method (as being so use to the previous methods)
I decided to make a video tutorial to help others with the transition.
Hope you get something useful from it:

Thank you! I just bought Live 8 this morning and was a little pissed about the new way of warping in relation to doing full tracks. I'm sure I will learn to love this way eventually, but this video definitely helped! Cheers.

Great video. I can't believe that the "Shift" function isn't in the manual. That really makes things different and more like Version 7 and other previous versions.
I look foreward to seeing more tutorials from you. Thanks a lot!!!!
