mpd to trigger the whole midi slick without holding down?

Sorry about the very simple question.
I am triggering sample midi slice using mpd and I can't figure out how to set the live to play the whole slice without holding down the pad the whole duration.I just want to press once and let the loop to finish.Any idea?
