Using two Mac's?

Post by Tortoise » Wed Apr 15, 2009 8:00 pm

Hello,

This is not a specific question about Ableton, but i've been trying hard to find something on the subject of using 2 Mac computers to record music.

My wish would be to use my Mac Pro and my MacBook Pro (both with Ableton 8 ) to be synced up, so that me and my partner can work on the two different computers at the same time.

Anyone know how to do this, and keep it in sync?

Thankful for all answers!

sync them with midi, and pipe the output from the macbook pro into the macpro.

Hi,

There's lots of threads on this if you search a bit. One recent one with a good description of how to do it is here: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=96787
