FCB1010 problem

Post by mediaslinger » Fri Apr 17, 2009 5:13 am

I'm using an FCB1010 with Live and in general I love it. It's particularly nice with the Looper. My problem is with the expression pedals. If I assign them to a volume slider, when I get all the way down, the volume jumps up to the top. When I get all the way up, the volume jumps to the top. I've calibrated the pedals twice and it hasn't changed anything. Any ideas?

Thanks a lot.

first thing to do would be to check out the MIDI stream to see if you are getting proper values from the FCB1010...

if you don't already have an app for spying on MIDI streams, here are a couple of free versions:

for Mac OS X try MIDI Monitor at:
http://www.snoize.com/

for Windows, try MIDI-OX at:

When you midi mapped the pedal, did you set the value in Live to min=-inf dB max=0? Not sure if that's the cause, but worth a look.
I came for the
But stayed for the :x
