Just to confirm ... I don't have any problems running the plugins (NI instruments) under normal circumstances on my MBPro 2.3GHz (4GB) OSX 10.5.6. The problems only arise when I resample (bounce) to another audio track. I would appreciate if anyone can confirm this. Just create a simple midi pattern with any NI instrument (one short note on each measure) and then record onto an audio track. Here, the audio starts late, is too quiet, and doesn't keep time with original.
By the way, I'm using an RME FF800 with a 256 sample buffer.
Problems were not present in Live 7.

sugar bytes artillery2. can be loaded in a set. but once saved, that set cannot be re-opened. live crashes on startup.all crash reports point to artillery.

@ Jeblad: Zebra 2 works fine on my Macbook pro.

So far haven't had any issues at all with plug ins, even my Liquid Mix, which would make my Mac crash if it was used on a track in L7 but wasn't plugged in, doesn't give me any problems anymore.

completely unrelated.

mozy.com

unlimited space to back up your info for 5 bucks a month. That way when your comp gets stolen/house burns down/computer crashes you have all of your info. a really good idea.

for some reason it's giving me an error everytime i try and back up. REALLY annoying. I feel like my computer is working it's butt off all the time, it's very slow now, thinking a lot. Might be mozy, might be something else.

ok, eh, good idea, but maybe not so good if there's a relation between Mozy and your computer slowing down. :(
I had a similar problem (sluggishness) with Apple's Timecapsule and eventually decided to back up another way (dumping all my new music on a 8 gig usb stick that i carry with me).

Zebra 2 has given me problems in 8.0.1 with the LFOs. They would go completely out of sync at times after playback went on for a few bars. Freezing/Flattening didn't really work. It just froze/flattened the actual error. I had to basically create an audio track with input from Zebra, and record its output every few bars. Was kind of tedious.

Virus Control is also super buggy in 8.0.1 to the point where it's rendered useless. Get all sorts of lockups and other annoying things, such as inability for the plugin to communicate with my Virus TI, and sync errors. I'm using VC OS 2.7.5, which never gave me any problems in L7 or the L8 betas.

Actually I didn't have any of these issues i just mentioned with L7 or the L8 betas. Weird to see them pop up (along with some other issues i've had) in the official release. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for 8.0.2

Seems a lot of people are mentioning Albino3 and the NI stuff. I haven't had problems with either one. Nor have I had any issues with any other Rob Papen plugs, Waves, Camel Audio. In fact, I've only had 2 or 3 crashes since installed L8 and I'm pretty sure those were both related to L8 itself. I'm sure those will be sorted out in the next couple releases, though, I'm not sure what I was doing when it crashed and probably wouldn't be able to recreate the incidents. Being that I've had so few issues, I'd like to thank the beta testing team, of which I was not involved (somebody had to get my company's taxes done and that somebody was me). Anyway, job well done!!! I haven't had a lot of time to use L8 but it seems decently solid and it could only get stronger.

For me the problem is with Guitar Rig. A session with 2 instances or more of Guitar Rig 3 gives me all kinds of hell (constant crashes). Very annoying. I have all the other NI synths and haven't had any problems - regularly use battery, fm8, absynth, reaktor, no problems with any of 'em, just GR3.

works and loads fine here after saving sets.

In fact all plug-ins mentioned here (that I have) work fine for me - Zebra, massive etc.

My powercore compact has been pretty stable in Live 8 so far.
