I just switched to Live 8 suite from 7 suite. When I try to play the Analog presets just now I get this message. What is wrong? What do I do?

check your library path, it could have changed.

options-preference-library-repair Library. updates will be applied to your EIC takes a few minutes.

I also just checked my authorizations and I don't have #'s for both session drums and EIC. I need to request those right?

sorry, I didn't mean to mention EIC, you have to buy that separately. it should read

but he said he bought Suite 8. At some point he should have gotten EIC or EIC2 and Session Drums, if he got the boxed version of either. repairing my library took like 45 minutes after installing L8 Suite.

But shouldn't EIC be listed in my Live 8 authorizations since I got the boxed 8 suite which contains EIC 2, and I had EIC in 7 suite?

don't really know how to answer that.. i'm not in front of my DAW computer at the moment. but i think EIC2 overwrites the EIC library and the authorizations?!? try doing what Tone said and repair your library. that should fix it. if not, reinstall using all the discs.

I got the EIC with Live 7, there were some updates to it with Live 8.

when I check my Library options-prefernces-library under Live Packs it lists the drum machines as drum machines, some of the packs have 'EIC' tacked onto them, like 'EIC2 Brass' EIC2 Choir' etc. this probably varies from Mac to PC a bit.

repair the Library.

any chance you accidentially ran live 7 and tried to load live 8 presets? just sayin' as i have a friend whose friend did just that and wondered what the heck...

I've tried to repair my library 4 times already. It gets to the part after it's repaired the library and it starts to scan the files. at about 50% it always gives me "database malformed", and then it stays at 51% forever. I have to cancel it to get out. What do I do now?

I'm not sure if this is helpful or not, but I just upgraded to the Live 8 suite from Live 7 and there was a message that indicated that the downnload version does not include EIC stuff.

I fixed the first issue with the presets not being loaded. I just had to delete the "index.db" file, and it ran fine after that. The 2nd issue is I don't have authorizations for EIC2 and Session drums, which I should since I bought the boxed version of suite 8. The fix there is to email the Abes to give me the authorizations.

I am having the same issue in Live 8.4.2 after re-formating / upgrading my Mac OS to 10.10.
Did any one find a sol.? I cudnt find the index.db file in search.
