Hi,
yesterday I was trying ableton 8 demo, and it seems something isn't working properly with graphics.
I installed it without problems, but when I ran it the splash screen didn't show up. Also, on the main screen view, only the external frame was visible (the one with the live's menu's) but the graphical content inside (I mean tracks, meters, clips and so on) was not visible, it was just transparent: I saw the desktop behind the frame.
I have a quite low spec laptop (AMD Athlon XP 1200 Hz 512 Mb ram) soon I'll switch to a more powerful machine, but this kind of problem never appened to me with live 7 (even in the latest version!). Why Live 8 is giving me this problem?
GUI problem with LIVE 8
Re: GUI problem with LIVE 8
Hi Marcus,
please note that the system requirements for Live 8 for Windows start at 1.5 GHz CPU or faster and
1 GB RAM (2 GB recommended) as stated in the FAQ section.

Yes, I know.
But wasn't 1.5 Ghz and 1 gb ram the minimum requirements also for Live 7 ?
