Can Live 8 Send Realtime System Messages?

Is there a way to send a sequencers start message from ableton? I have a reactor patch doing just that and i see the outgoing message but it will not start my midi instruments sequencer, however is works fine when reactor is stand alone. I actually would love to know how to send them from ableton and eliminate using reactor altogether.

Hi,

Live sends realtime messages as long as you define it in your preferences.
Just enable clock out for the midi output that you use to send midi to the other sequencer.
When you start or stop ableton it sends out a start or stop message over the midi ports that have lcock out enabled.
