I have a question.

If a third party instrument is racked and gets its parameters connected to knobs of the rack, do the APC's rotaries update right on a) browsing to this track b) arming this track?

I have noticed that in Nocturn when it's a live's instrument that's racked - yes, while if it's a vst, the lights do not update.

If Novation Team is reading here, too and I am wrong with this pls let me know - maybe I am doing something wrong.

This looks rad. 2 questions;
This is more in depth than say a Novation Zero, right?
Touch sensitive pads, size and lights are issues for people who play out, right? Certainly understandable, although I had to laugh at the 4 A/D inputs, etc. Nothing does everything! :) I'd like a girlfriend but I have a guitar. A producer once told that there is no good distortion pedal, they all sound great for exactly 1 song. Not the case here but you get the idea... It's always a price point/inclusion thing.

First of all, I wish to apologise for my ignorance.
I don't saw(?:D) reply for my Q about APC, but probably It is in this topic.
Sooo...
I have a question about a drum rack in Ableton with tha APC.
Is that possible to use It as a PAD for a drum rack?
I'm newbie - please forgive me that maybe stupidly question
The 2th question is about DJ'ing. I don't know at all how it looks in live mixing in Ableton
so I wonder to know is that possible to keep 2 EQ's in 2 other tracks ? You know, just like in others 'pro' mixing systems like tracktor etc. I only know how to control one of the channel using a 3 EQ. I've hope You know what I mean.
Really sorry for my horrible English - just learning :D

In advice thanks for reply,
NewbieOne - Villam :)

Hey Villam, Not sure about your EQ question, but NO the APC pads are not touch sensitive drum pads. However, you could buy an M-Audio Trigger Finger for around $120- maybe $150. It works great and you can have multiple controllers hooked up in Live. Maybe that helps, I know it's more money but the pads would have made the APC more expensive too I guess.
I notice the APC has 8 knobs that you can keep switching in banks, so 64 assigned per track, but I wish it had millions of knobs like Robert Henke's homemade Monodeck & Monodeck 2. Have you seen those videos? It's amazing! That guy is brilliant.

hey Villam,

you can buy the Korg Nano Pad for triggering the Drums into Drum Rack, it s rather cheap and works very well.....

The APC is ideal for mixing and djing in Live, cause you can controll a lot of parameters in the effects, and trigger Samples (Loops,Tracks etc), with the 64 Pads......

Your EQ Question: You can put a lots of Eq`s into one Track (does it make sense ? ), for Example:
In my own Dj.Setup i take:

Put a EQ 3 in Track 1 and a Auto Filter, and the same in Track 2, you can put an EQ 8 in the Master Chanel, combined with a Flanger, Ping-Pong Delay, a Beat Repeater or whatever you want to do........

In Live you can customize your own Dj-Application if you want.....

hope this helps a little bit....
