not bad 8)
I don't mean the pressure support or any other exotic wacom features..

If you use a wacom with Live you know exactly what I mean.. HELL...

If you touch a parameter or gently adjust it,
the parameter 'runs' while you're not moving your pen/mouse..

I find this very very very uncomfortable and totally not understandable because Live is the ONLY app that I know of that acts like this....

And the most irritating part of it all is that Live is pretty inconsistent at it as well cause not all parameters act like this (i.e. Operators envelopes)..

But I give up..
Live will never support wacom I guess..
Or maybe in Live v.9 or v.57 when the do a complete recoding..

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrgggghhhhhhhh...
After reading you post I had to try how is it like and yes in tablet-mode normal operations are so frustrating that I wouldn't call that usefull in any case. But I found solution: Change to mouse-mode. That works with my wacom. You should not miss any of the important features but usability is granted.

And btw. envelopes drawn by hand <3 Soooo beautiful! I'm hooked!
Windows i assume?

Mouse mode sucks, in that case it's even better to a real mouse. Are you on a mac? Because the Windows drivers for the Intuos allow to set the modes in the driver utility as a per-app setting. But it drives one nuts to mix modes.

mouse mode doesn't suck for me, it's precise, and it's of course not like physically holding a mouse, so it causes less strain....

so for Bamboo it does work, bur for Intuos it does not! WTF? Maybe Wacom can fix this then :)

I don't know about which OS you'Re talking, but on Windows the WACOM drivers allow you to tell them to switch the tablet to mouse mode whenever Live has focus. Or always use the mouse mode, if you'd prefer. The drivers for the Intuos.

I would like to add another vote to get this issue fixed ASAP. I use a Wacom-tablet for all my work, and the poor support for this in Live 7 makes using it a bit of a pain. I'm not interested in upgrading to Live 8 until this gets fixed.

do you mean really fixed or are you using some kind of workaround like mouse mode. So will there be native WACOM tablet support from 8.02 on?

How can I get my hands on that beta?

I mean really fixed - am using the tablet in pen mode, not mouse mode. Beta link is in General & Bugs forums. You'll need to edit your options.txt as described in the beta link post.
