Can you use a Digi 003 control surface with Live 8?

I would love to have my control surface as a hands on tool for Live 8. I use it to track in live 8 but does anyone know how i can use its MIDI outs to assign functions in MIDI mode?

I've already pulled it up in MIDI preferences and have the input set as DIGI 003(Port3(Control). I have the Takeover Mode in Pickup, but still nothing.

Any feedback will be much appreciated

If the 003 can transmit midi CC's then you make your own control surface. I made a control surface for my Korg MS2000R. Here's a link to a post with the info:
