the weird thing about listening to my own music, is that i'm hooked once i start. it's just hard to stop listening to myself. not because it's great... or maybe it is. i really don't know. it just happens.

I listen to my albums all the time, even when finished and released. I write my music for me primarily so I only release stuff I get enjoyment from :-)

weird, I´d never expected so many users to listen to their own stuff so regularly. Once I finish a song, I show it to others, but I just listen to it every once in a while. Its important for me to keep forgetting and then re-listen to my tunes as if they were from somebody else.

Quite rarely really, by the time I've finished something I've listened to it probably hundreds of time and got all sorts of new ideas I want to try.

I did once walk out of a local gig when the DJ decided to play one of my songs

when i finish a song i heard it about 200-300 times so NO i don,t listen to my music after that.
After a year i start listen to it again.

Sometimes too much and sometimes not enough :D

AND Listening to music made by others is very healthy... It's kinda source where we can rest our tremendous music making appetite

I'm guilty as charged as well. I listen to mostly my own stuff when I hit the basement studio. Mostly works in progress, as most have stated here, the finished songs have been heard a whole lot so I move onto some newer ideas/material. I would also listen to anything released... if/when that ever happens ;)
