ableton on ebay?

I see some people selling live on ebay. has anybody bought live that was previously owned by someone else ? can the serials etc be transfered? :?:

People have successfully transferred registration, but they had to contact Ableton directly.

Yep, I got my original 5 license on ebay and am now on 7, so it's quite alright.

just make sure to ask the seller if it really is a license and not just a bootleg.

i'm so glad i got it, i wasn't too sure at first but as it was under £100 i thought "hey, why not" and it's been total and utter value for money. I also managed to buy sampler for £60 off sound on sound and that license transferred ok too. I can't remember what i paid for the upgrade to 7, but it's really made the whole thing incredibly cheap.

i am currently bidding for a copy of live 7 on ebay and i am a bit worried about it. thanx smutek(excactly what i wanted...!)
