Controllers & Warping

Post by adam » Tue Jan 18, 2005 1:00 pm

Being new to Live I am still trying to get my head round what I need, as well as some concepts, given I will be using it for dj purposes. With this in mind I have 2 questions:

1. In terms of controllers I think I have decided on both the Behringer BCR & BCF 2000 units. My idea behind this is to use the BCF as a dedicated 8 track mixer, with start/stop buttons for each track as well as the faders for gains, and to use the BCF as an 8 channel effects unit with presets for delay, reverb etc for each channel strip. Has anyone any ideas/opinions about this?

and

2. What is the best way to prepare a full track for use in Live?

Would be very greatful for peoples views on the above

i have done a video on how to get full tracks into Live and then warp them so that you can then mix a-la-dj stylee....
