2 Quick Questions - Can You Please Assist?

i want to trigger audio files (mp3) with my MPD24 using Ableton 7. i simply can't figure out how to do this. can someone PLEASE help? i have my MPD24 set to Live, but nothing seems to be working right. it'll work for midi notes, but i want to launch some songs or cue points via the pads and customize which goes where.

also, it seems when triggering an audio file the old fashioned way (mouse) or even when the keyboard shortcuts are used, there's a slight audio delay. how do i get these files to start and stop on a dime?

if you'd have bothered searching via that google link, you'd have found the following article (comes in at number 2 in the search results):

this contains information on how to trigger clips via midi. it also explains that the "slight audio delay" on launching a clip is called quantization. both of which are explained in the manual that you've read.

I did it once, not to a new person like yourself, but to another longtime poster as kind of a stupid joke. I got nailed and embarrassed immediately by the moderator. Learned my lesson, apologized, life goes on.

Other people for some reason are allowed to do this type of thing whenever and to whomever they please with no repercussions at all. Why this is I have no idea. Kind of lame, but it is what it is.

(Search "TITBAG" for a good example -that's a fake login that has been used by multiple users for more than a year now to make the foulest, most dickishly offensive posts you will find on this forum)
