korg padkontrol effects
korg padkontrol effects
on the korg padkontrol you have the touchpad on the bottom left that will tweak the sound of whatever you are playing. how do i record in ableton while messing with the touchpad? or what is the effect and is there something similar built into ableton? to be clear, im using the rapture plug-in and when i play a lead, for instance, i can alter the sound by moving my finger along the touchpad but when i try to record it in ableton i get a solid note. any help?

Re: korg padkontrol effects
By default the padKontrol will send midi CC #1 along the Y axis, and it sends pitchbebnd on the X axis. Pitchbend is not a midi CC, it's a different kind of midi message.
What you want is to make sure that those values which you are changing the sound with are getting captured. You will need to arm the track [*] (the record button at the botton/side) and then press record on the primary transport at the top, then do stuff. Hopefully good stuff.
