there's a Woody Allen movie called Annie Hall. There's a character named Joey Nickels who they call joey five cents. My first name is Joseph, last name is Nickel. When I was playing a gig in Athens, GA years ago, the local publication gave me this nickname. Everyone has called me that ever since. It was perfect. Most people just shorten it to J5C.

When I signed up I didn't know I was choosing my handle at that time. Using my real name keeps me from acting like the pompous asshole that I truly am.

By the way,

Most of you are worthless time wasters.

You have a shitty misbehaved dog and it's probably your fault.

Coldplay? You can't be serious.

Fucking great, another 4/4 song with a predictably lame pad.

You're too sensitive to take constructive criticism about your mediocre music.

How do you sleep at night?

Cheers,
Drew

I dunno. It just popped into my mind when I signed up on the forum. No idea where it came from. But I ended up liking the contrast of the elements, which is something I like in music.

By the way, JRock, you ever watched Trailer Park Boys? You should.
