adding mp3 to tracks

I have suceeded in adding my music to a track by way of dragging but the track plays very fast,ive tried several different music mp3 and it does it to them all as if they have been speeded up.

Ableton Live has the ability to play song clips at a faster or slower rate than the original. I would recommend going over some basic Live tutorials. In the meantime, you can slow down the BPM at the top left corner of the screen.
