What soundcard do you use for your laptop?

Post by Kenshin » Thu May 07, 2009 8:14 am

Ok, so let`s say i`ve choosen a MIDI controller so i can use Ableton on my laptop but i don`t think that onboard soundcards on HP laptops are so good. as the sound quality is very important in a club, i wanted to ask you what soundcard (external) do you use at your gigs.

Novation nio 2|4

Cheap and effective - sounds good and I run 3 faderfox midi controllers off it.

I use my laptop as a secondary mobile studio so i am using my old usb interface. it is an Editol UA20: http://www.roland.com/products/en/UA-20/index.html

Cheap, very stable and ideal for my uses.

Native Instruments Audio Kontrol 1 with my Macbook. Stable as fudge, and amazing sound quality to boot. Oh, and it has a massive knob on the top, too!
