I'm offended for a completely different reason.

Here's a screen shot of my generation's "fantasy career" based video game

That's right. There were only so many paper routes available but we had it covered at the arcade for the dreamers. Talk about setting the bar low. No wonder I'm so lazy. :x

I've been thinking a lot about the obvious Oedipus complex connection obsession we have with tits. When you're a newborn you need them for nourishment. When you engage in the same activity as an adult it's really kind of creepy.

Think about that the next time you're sucking one off.

Why wont they just make a real guitar hero game!

You could just plug a real guitar into your xbox and practice.
When you get good enough you can play with your friends?

Seriously if I could replace my scale deck cards ...or FUCKING LEARN IT FASTER I would.

wow, little bit grandiose of a reaction there, don't you think? I don't know anybody who plays the various music video games who actually beleives they are achieving anything like real musicianship, let alone fame. why are so many musicians so sensitive to the idea of video games that relate to music? it's not threatening you!!!! it's a friggin' video game.

bensuthers describing an audience as a "typical Gatecrasher crowd":

You turn it up: they scream.

You turn it off: they scream.

You turn it up/off/up/off/up/off: they explode.

Oh wow, I just read this as well. Not a joke!

Armin Van Buuren Announces New Wii DJ Game

Foreign Media Games and Armin van Buuren have announced a new DJ game for the Wii slated for debut this Fall entitled, wait for it, wait for it… Armin Van Buuren’s In The Mix - The Ultimate DJ Experience. Now when someone dubs something “The Ultimate…” you have to be wary. The game reportedly allows players to “experience for themselves what it is like to be a DJ like Armin, mixing electronic dance music and interacting with the audience.”

The game will contain many of Armin van Buuren’s music masters and features artists he often works with. To make the experience complete, Armin will also include unique, never before released material in the Wii game. Players can use the available effects, loops and individual parts to mix music. Wii functionality will be optimally utilised to maximise the music mixing experience.

Armin van Buuren, awarded World’s Best DJ for the second consecutive year, is proud to be the first DJ in the world to have his own Wii game. “I’ve been a huge games freak for years and I am, of course, a music fanatic. Music mixing technology has improved enormously over the past few years. You can do a lot more with your choice of records and the various effects, making it even more fun to mesmerise your audience, take them on a musical journey and let them party on. Now you can discover how great it is to mix your own music in your own living room! This game shows you how I work as a DJ, but you can use your own style. Perfect your skills and make your friends and family totally crazy about Dance and Trance.”
